A Roman Centurion on guard at the entrance Petuaria on the Roman road to the ferry crossing at the Humber shore.
Petuaria served as the capital of the Celtic tribe of the Parisi. Petuaria marked the southern end of the Roman road known now as Cade's Road which ran roughly northwards for a hundred miles to Pons Aelius (Newcastle upon Tyne)
The Ferry boat in used by John Palmer alias Dick Turpin..
So today’s exercise period was also a lesson from History, stay safe you just don’t know who’s out there....
