Beach Music

The rest of our friends arrived from Washington today for six days of fun in the sun. We immediately took them down the beach for dinner with our toes in the sand. Instead of sending the strolling beach musicians away, as we typically do, we paid them to sing three songs to truly welcome everyone to the beach. The lead singer really loved his job as is evident in this shot. He played and sang and this smile never left his face. Even though I imagine he gets many, many more rejections than gigs and spends his days walking the hot, unforgiving sands - when he lands a customer, he instantly becomes the entertainer he was destined to be.
