Last Day......

...... of having both the girls, before Isabella starts school next week.

Alexandra finished up with her old job today, and has a bit of time off before starting her new job.

So today, I did most of the things the girls wanted to do.

So pancakes for breakfast.  Then a walk to see if there was any damage from the massive rain storm we had last night.  The girls enjoyed watching all the water rushing down a river that is normally dry!

The only thing I didn't let them do was go to the play park.  The one near us was flooded.  And the one Isabella wanted to go to (as she wanted to go on the monkey bars) is a half hour walk.  And I didn't want to get there and find that flooded too.  (Now of course, I feel a bit mean).

They played in the little pool, on the patio, as the grass was too wet.

They had a picnic on the balcony, and checked out the neighbours pool, which had overflowed.

We did puzzles, letters and numbers, drawing, colouring and lots of chatting.

And the weather was glorious, much better than they forecast.  A welcome relief after last night's storm, which flooded a lot of the surrounding area.
