Cold Day at the Beach

On our trip home from Chicago today, my wife was kind enough to oblige my blip animal and we took a detour through Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and State Park.  I snapped this at a scenic stop back in one of the neighborhoods while she waited in the car. It was as cold as it looks.  We stopped briefly at the park where I snapped some pics in November but the views were pretty bland with the cloud cover.  Plus we were hungry so we made our way into Michigan City where we enjoyed a sit down lunch INSIDE a restaurant. How civilized......

The drive home was slowed by snow and slippery roads in spots once we got back into the middle of Michigan but we safely made it home to our now quiet house, with both girls back at their respective colleges - classes start tomorrow.  We're already looking forward to having them home for Easter.  We may have a road trip or two for visits in the meantime. ;-)
