Baaaaaaaa !

You know you live in a rural location when there are sheep in your garden...

When I write my memoirs, Chapter ? will be about how a girl from Essex, baby boomer of North Londoners, who left Greater London to live in the most populous city in Europe (Istanbul) for more than twenty years, ended up living in retirement with Turkish sheep as her neighbours....

Talking of most populous cities, I enjoyed a really fun conversation this afternoon with a woman from São Paulo, a health worker who works night shift in the hospital blood bank. Even in these days of covid devastation, we managed to find things to laugh about and I learned a little Portuguese while improving her English!  

Weather watch: Whilst there's no sign of the snow that's in Istanbul, it is super cold here. Goodness knows how much my next electricity bill is going to be...
