I've been enjoying the online Celtic Connections concerts that started on Friday. I have long admired the amazing talent of Shetland fiddler Chris Stout, ever since I first saw him as a teenager playing with The Clydesiders, back in the 90s. I was, however, disappointed in last night's CC concert where he performed with harpist Catriona McKay. The music, though no doubt expertly played, was far too modern for my 'traditional' tastes.
