Tree Frog...

Today's theme challenge was to reference this shot. Perhaps my lucky cat hit the highly textured backdrop a bit to quickly, but I think it looks like a frog - a tree frog perhaps... The raised 'paw' of this Maneki-neko looks rather like he's holding on to his Cornish pasty.

Oh... I can't remember the last time I had a proper Cornish pasty! Year on year we spend some time in Kernow - in fact looking back at blip it's exactly a month hence, which gives an insight into how the pandemic hadn't really hit then yet.

As lockdown continues, it's a pleasant journey of the mind back through the blip year, remembering with every picture the entire day that was. Good, bad and indifferent. Anyhow, the ancient oak that provided today's shot was in the middle of yet another random and muddy exploration.
