Cats, Dogs... and Mice.

The cat caught a mouse this morning and was very proud of himself. Playing with the poor thing, as they do, ended with Abi in tears and Daniel offering to cut the mouse's head off with a spade for a coup de grace.
In the middle of the melee Odd came to see what the fuss was all about but the cat wasn't sharing his mouse with him! So, we had Abi trying to rescue the half dead mouse who was evading her and the cat who was attacking Odd while Daniel was running around with a spade slashing at everyone's ankles.
It was all a bit much before breakfast so I chased the cat off and retreated to my coffee and muesli. Much tastier than fresh mouse I'm sure.
