The other side of the valley...

Lovely weather today and leaving the BCH (Bijou Care Home) residents in the conservatory looking at some old scrap books,  I set off the other side of the hill hoping to find the phone signal that is so elusive in this valley. Then I got to enjoy the walk so much I didn’t bother (result better phone still no 3G or 4G).  I have never walked up there and was tempted to stride out through the well marked paths until I asked someone I met where they would end up and realised I’d never get back before dark.  Still it was beautiful up there with views back over the village of Hambledon and then up here out I think to the Solent in the distance but I could be wrong...

As we had a good Sunday lunch in the evening I revived my patented Deli Plate Dinner which was a favourite with the kids when they were little.   Lots of bitesize treats on a big plate. They didn’t have to decamp to the kitchen to eat again and actually polished it all off.  We ate it and watched a friend’s new show on telly....
