Imminent Sunflower

My Dear Princess, Loulou and Fellows,

Do you remember a while ago, I mentioned I had grown seedlings of what I hoped were sunflowers from seeds in the wild bird mix?

Well, I think it is safe to say they are indeed sunflowers. We have plants that are well over a metre in the garden, and they look like they are about to bloom.

They're getting a bit blown about today, but hopefully they will hang in there long enough to provide a nice feed for the bees and butterflies, and then eventually for the birdies.

In other news, Caro is trying to get Shetland Dad to go into a rest home. I feel very sorry for the poor old fellow. He's now obviously in need of more care than he gets at his current place, where he's allowed more independence, but they can't support his mental health.

He called both Caro and Feefs a number of times yesterday telling them about some bloke who came to visit in the middle of the night who "looked Portuguese". It was just a vivid dream, but he was convinced.

"What does a Portuguese person even LOOK like?" said Feefs.

Then Big Nipper said something in the background. He was on his way to the toilet. I could tell because Feefs started complaining about him "farting in the hallway".

"Just go to the toilet!" she said, crossly. "Just go."

I could hear more muffled conversation.

"JUST - GO - TO - THE - TOILET!!"

After the phone call, Caro and I agreed we should send Feefs something. It must be miserable for have to deal with all this and a farty husband.

Maybe I'll send her a sunflower.
