Meet Hollie dog
Well, that was fun.
I set my studio lights up yesterday, checked my settings and exposures, made sure everything was hunky dory, checked all camera settings again...bring in the dogs.....What could go wrong? OMG
First, Hollie dog. Cork out of a bottle, crashed into the background and brought the whole lot down...pandemonium.
Breathe, put everything back together, stern words with the doggie diva and try again.
Main lights work perfectly, why won't the rim light work? Several test shots later it is agreed that the old Bowens light would work better if the slave unit is properly pushed into the sync socket. Try again
Me, ready to chuck it all in, Hollie, terrified and wanting out. Bloody hell, how do professional photographers make a living.
Then I let Dexter in, the two dogs know each other and usually get on well, but there is an element of the unusual in the air, the dogs know something is up and react accordingly. Wall of death around the room, barking, yapping, bouncing off the walls.
Bring out the treats and a semblance of calm is resumed, a few tense shots are captured, dogs booted out to trash the garden and Mrs I and me crack open the gin, and put some calming music on the stereo. Loud
Great White, Robert Plant, Bowie and some Hall and Oates to calm us down.
Phew, I think we did OK....
Piece of advice, Never Work With children Or Animals, they are just the same...Bloody Nightmare On Elm Street
Thanks for all stars and comments yesterday. Much appreciated.
