No through road

The Relief Channel is back up to a disconcerting height again. I'm used to seeing the path on the other side of the channel disappear under water but not on this side. That is a stile on the left of the picture and the footpath running up to it is completely submerged. Someone reckoned they had let too much water through the sluice gate and I expect the recent snow fall has left more water in the ground. Hopefully things are sorted as more rain is expected this coming week. Otherwise Ben Casey may have to sow rice rather than barley this year.
