Day 017/21. A Small catch.
Our walk by the local river today we passed a fisherman as he was reeling in this small Grayling. I asked, and here is a picture of it.
The Grayling is known as the 'lady of the stream' and is common throughout Europe. However there are no Grayling in Ireland.
In England and Wales, they can be fished for throughout the season (16 June to 14 March).
This little chap was put back into the River Itchen, from whence he came, and we continued our walk.
