Kingfisher

An early start to try and avoid the crowds in the Dene, brought the hoped for reward. Also saw a sparrowhawk soaring high above and a pair of handsome bullfinches squabbling over a female.

A thought: if a female peacock is a peahen, why isn't a female bullfinch a cowfinch?
