Book stops here
In my dream I was trying to navigate Covid travel restrictions to go to South Sudan, with my colleague Michelle. This is because yesterday I was working out how to get a book out to another colleague based there, and because Michelle and I are spending a lot of time fantasising about travel to Africa. My dreams often feel like an extension of my day.
I’m keen to check the US political news every morning. Whilst hopefully in the coming days Trump’s influence may start to ebb slowly, he did incite a terror attack in which his Vice President was targeted for assassination for not helping him steal an election. It’s disappointing that there isn’t total outrage about this from ALL quarters. Perhaps the enormity of it hasn’t sunk in or perhaps most people are a combination of exhausted by Trump, apathetic about politics or so fixated on partisanship that they’re using all their time to make excuses that downplay how serious this incident was.
The morning was a total washout but I managed some outdoor time in the afternoon. I’d love to walk in a big forest. I need to have some wild adventures back in Mozambique.
