Physalis

Back in June and then again in August I posted photos of the physalis I have in my garden. I bought it in autumn 2019, when it was covered in bright orange lanterns. In June it developed lovely white flowers, I didn’t recognise it as the same plant I’d bought but the wonders of the internet helped me to identify it. In August the lanterns appeared and lasted throughout the autumn. I noticed the other day that there were a couple still attached and sort of intact, the delicate petals having decomposed leaving this delicate filigree effect.
