a bright morning with the promise of a change of wind and weather in the afternoon, jumping on a bike back down towards xindian to attempt to follow the divergent paths of the other day the map offering a cycle up the side of the river towards hills and reservoir... of course nothing works out the way that you imagine or hope that it will, the first path coming to a dear end about a km in, a signpost telling where it goes but a closed gate and a wall saying that the signpost may not be offering viable information... back to the second path which ended up leading to a main road, a busy one at that, and so back along the river, timing it well as above the city steep and dense cloudfronts were rising, offering a promise of rain behind the chill wind which preceded them... next time the other side, the maps once again offering possibilities...
