A whole lot of fun (and good eating!)
We did a little something different today: our family and our daughter's soon-to-be in-laws gathered on zoom to take an Italian cooking lesson taught by chefs from their kitchen in Sorrento, Italy (they are on the middle top panel of the zoom screen capture). Just like in France, cooking and eating together is what brings people closer together too :))
I'd highly recommend that experience: the hosts were just wonderful and made us feel as if we were right there in their kitchen; they filled the downtimes (while stuff was cooking) with interesting chatter about their region and their food; they had us talk about the young couple; and were infinitely patient with us as we stumbled through the recipe;)
Of course, the best part was eating the fruit of our labor (homemade gnocchis Sorrentina).
If you want to check them out, here's their website. Now I'm off to finish the gnocchis for dinner ;)
