WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Happy Bella!

This is a Blip from yesterday. When my parcels arrived Bella May was all excited - she always thinks every parcel is for her even though she never gets anything through the post except for the sacks of dog food. Frank sneaked a Whimzee doggie chew into the package and Bella  was so happy. She always likes to eat her treats outside no matter what the weather!

I've had a busy day. I took some things from the craft draws up to the loft to upcycle. I had an old fleece blanket which was poor quality, the fluff comes off and I didn't like to put it i  the washing machine as all that unnatural fibre would end up in the water ways and then the sea. I also had a thin quilted mattress protector. I folded the fleece into four and sewed it together then made a cover with the protector and put the fleece inside it and secured it round the edges with hand stitching. Hey presto an extra dog bed for Bella. Now I can wash it in the machine and the fibres won't escape. I just need to make a removable cover for it. I also had a box of filling of various types and made a firm cushion for Frank to put behind his back on the sofa.
That's a few things used up that won't take up room in the cupboard now. I've got a few other things to upcycle too.

This afternoon was spent drawing and getting used to my new Polychromo coloured pencils. I'm not sure yet about the methods of using them as they are oil based but also water soluble. I drew the picture in pencil then coloured it in. Now I'm not sure whether I can outline it with fine liners or if it's best to use a black pencil. The picture is me cleaning the kitchen - (it's in my art folder) it's not great yet but a work in progress.

I've enjoyed just sitting on the sofa drawing. Frank is doing the same. No telly on just the sound of Bella snoring.

Video called Diane (S-i-L) to wish her happy birthday. They were just at home obviously as can't go anywhere but it's the same for everyone. This March will be Frank's 70th and in May Sabrina's 40th. I doubt there will be any celebrations - well only quiet ones with individual families.

The snow and ice is mostly gone now, though this morning was still slippy.

Book and bedtime now.
Goodnight :-)X
