Floods and subtle colors
A trusted mechanic put dye in the coolant and instructed me to put fifty to a hundred miles on it this weekend, and they'll have a look on Monday. If coolant is leaking from the head gasket, the car is finished. If not, I may be able to nurse it along for another year or two.
Fingers crossed, Sue and I drove out to Jackson Bottom Wetlands, which is completely in flood. That's the walking trail on the left (under water, next to the fence). The brush is bristling with subtle color, and a few ducks, living in the present moment, wag their tails for joy.
I am dumbstruck by the many kind comments on my self portrait. I've tried to respond but I'm finally speechless.
