Floating seagull

So we’d decided yesterday to leave the door if the crate open to see how Phin coped. We put the stair gate across the doorway so he wouldn’t be able to roam too far if he woke. I think it was a success as he decided to sleep on the sofa instead and slept through till just after 7. Hopefully he will repeat that tonight.

A quick walk round the stream this morning was followed by a walk at the nearby nature reserve this afternoon. It was a little slippery underfoot and as Miss PHL was a little tired, we didn’t stay out too long. Phin was bemused by the birds and also by the water lapping at the shore under the ice. Long enough to tire the dog out so he spent a couple of hours asleep when we got home. He’s currently sprawled out on the floor of the living room gently farting away.

the rest of the day was taken up with you’ve guessed it, my crochet blanket. 48 square now joined together. Only another 72 to add!
