Fiescheralp

First day of the skiing holidays. It was difficult to get out of the village, we had so much snow, and it was minus 8 deg, and the snow plow hadn’t been, but ok once we gilot on the way. The shortest route down to Fiesch, by the Realp Furka car train was closed for avalanche danger, so we had o use the Goppenstein tunnel from Kandersteg. We arrived in Fiesch, and were skiing by 12.30. What a day! Perfect pistes, and just above the freezing fog of the valleys. I really loved the skiing today, I skied with Mr S and my son, until we found my daughter and friend, who set off earlier on the train. We headed down to our holiday flat, got the shopping and started the holiday with cheese fondue and fendant, the local white wine.
