Was supposed to be a swan but...

When the sun finally made an appearance about midday (after a dank, foggy morning which I spent watching the telly!) I set off to the South Inch with my Panasonic LUMIX camera thinking it’d be great to get a couple of shots of the beautiful swans on the icy pond.

However it was like a scene from ‘The Birds’ down there and although I got a few shots of the swans they weren’t very serene, with all sorts of ducks, pigeons and seagulls crowding in on the action!

When this little robin came close to me, I turned the lens on him and decided he was today’s star prize! I love the way the light shone on his claws, reminded me of spurs on a cowboy!
