Passo della Calla

We drove up to the Passo Della Calla - the highest pass on the Tuscany_Romagna appenine ridge at 4250 ft. It was 3C at the bottom at 1500 feet and -4C at the top. The lying snow got steadily thicker as we went up through the beautiful beech woods.

It was pretty packed at the top and not easy to turn around. The side road to the little ski slope had not been cleared - all ski stations in Italy closed until 18th Feb under the new dispensation.  Lots of people with snow shoes.

A nice little adventure in beautiful sunshine. Book-ended with more wood cutting and stacking.
