Hunting
Cold and frosty, but dry and still, and we didn't have to walk far to find some snow this afternoon. MrM and I decided on a short circular walk - just over 4km - up to the Pin Well, and back through the fields. With the recent heavy rain, the boggy area approaching the well (usually resembling a large puddle in a small area of mud) had become quite a large lake surrounded by an extensive area of bog. And this juvenile heron was wading through it, far too intent on finding his next meal to worry about two humans passing quite close by. The steep track up to the fields needed a little more care than usual, but it was worth it for the views (extras).
Back home for tea and crumpets!
