Louis the baby Tui

It is quite amazing how fast these wee souls grow. He has signs of his feathers coming,and is trying to climb out of the "nest". I have my phone set for an alarm every 45mins- then I feed him/her. Its only daylight hours so not too difficult. Overnight he put on 2 grams- when you are only 13 grams- its a good weight gain. soooo cute-and its beginning to chirp!!!!   Bald area under the beak is his full crop.
