Back to the jungle again :(

Not a good day for us, a journey in a nee nah for Joseph, which is looking like a 48 hour+ stay in the childrens rainforest ward here in Lincoln county hospital.
The day started like any other, Joe in good spirit and eager to go to nursery, then mid morning a phone call to tell us of concerns with a high temp and looking pale and tired, this soon escalated into a call for ambulance and admission to A&E. Initial diagnosis is his blood chemistry being low on several counts, meaning a top up transfusion and further investigations into his blood cultures that take 48hrs to develop and be tested under the microscope, regular dosings of antibiotics and the tasty hospital meals.

Hopefully it should be a quiet night on the ward so a good nights rest will be good for us both, rest for Joe and after 31 hours awake for me (didn't get to bed after my night shift last night) some rest for me too :)
