Camouflaged!

A cloudy morning when we were out hiking at Long Branch Farm. The trails were a bit muddy in places, and there were several stream crossings, but we managed to keep our feet mainly dry! There were some icicles along the stream banks, and patches of ice along the stream itself, but I brought you icy shots yesterday, so I was hoping for something different, and towards the end of our walk, this group of deer obliged! Roger spotted them first, their white tails standing out as they bounded through the forest, but then they came to a standstill just after crossing the path a little way in front of us. Once they’d stopped they became quite well camouflaged amidst the bushes. As we drove back home, the sun began to come out - typical!
