Bridging the Chagrin River

One of the best feature of Chagrin River Park is the bridge that connects the east and west sides of the river. (Although that could possibly be the north and south sides of the river because my poor sense of direction could easily have that wrong.) Not only is it a lovely bridge (in my opinion), it also increases the trailwalking distance in the park. Years ago, when our children were small, there was no bridge, and there were no formal trails either, just paths we walked along to pick blackberries. Over the years, as our children grew so did the park. Today it is a  popular recreational destination with two picnic shelters, several miles of well-maintained trails for walkers to enjoy, two playground areas, as well as access to the river for fishing, wading, kayaking, and more. Bridging the Chagrin was a great idea!

Today's extra picture was taken from the bridge about a mile south of Lake Erie.
