By the lake

We decided we'd go for a walk in the morning having missed too many days by leaving it too late..... it was '3°c feels like 1°c' apparently. Saw no signs of human life except a fresh dump of household goods (mostly mattresses and clothes but we picked up a couple of little carpets and a bucket) presumably someone died or moved away. Also, very strangely, a dead guinea pig lying on a t-shirt by a freshly dug hole, and next to it a ripped open bag which had been taped up to about guinea pig size.... all this covered with dew.
