Glasson Dock
Dan's driving proficiency has reached the stage where today's 'lesson' was really just a Sunday drive. We opted to go out to Glasson Dock, which is where both the Lune and a spur off the Kendal to Lancaster canal meet the sea. It has a rather remote feel to it, despite being not that far from Lancaster.
It wasn't particularly glorious driving weather but we took the lack of ice on the road and the absence of any (significant) rain as a win. We drove through Glasson Dock and then pulled over at the side of the road so I could look for an interesting route home.
I could see Heysham Power Station across the far side of the Lune Estuary looking a little ominous in the mist. Sadly, my photo doesn't quite capture the atmosphere :-/
