Today's making: a patchwork denim duffle bag commissioned by a friend who's already had a couple from me previously. Pictured against a denim patchwork cushion, a knitted cushion and a couple of knitted throws that live on a little sofa in my sewing room.
I pride myself on making bags that last, so that means edging every piece of fabric in zig zag stitch to prevent fraying and double or even triple sewing every construction seam. Extra effort but well worth it especially for something like a bag that needs to be robust. When I make things they stay made!
