2210. Pearl January 15

I bought these at auction, they were in a job lot of rather nice costume jewellery. They are base metal I believe, Victorian and they are set with seed pearls, opals and garnet. They aren’t the same size so I suspect that the settings were part of a larger item, probably a necklace at some point and were split to give to daughters, a common practice in Victorian times.

A lazy day for me today as I don’t need to go out. Popped out briefly to post my eldest’s new jumper for their chickens. I finished it yesterday and posted just one for them to try it as their chickens may not be happy to wear a jumper! If they are then I will make a few more for them as it’s so cold just now...
I’m going to make some fingerless gloves for my eldest too as there’s plenty of wool left over.
