Another fire day

Despite windy and wet conditions, we braved it, went outside and made fire. We talked all about the fact that a fire is like a little monster; it needs feeding little and often. If you feed it too much too soon, it becomes overwhelmed and dies, so it’s important to build it up slowly and that way it will grow into a bigger monster.
The boys were so good today that they earned themselves an upgrade from marshmallows to toast in our next lesson, to full on s’mores! And guess who gets to buy the biscuits?!
