Ice
Most of the snow was washed away overnight,, and the warm breeze (8degC) melted the rest like a hairdryer. The rain stopped enough for the afternoon walk, which in places meant sliding across rapidly melting ice. No sledging in the park today, however Torvill and Dean might have enjoyed ice skating on the sloped ice rink. Two kids were having fun on the ice. Once through the park it was relatively fine until we get above Swanston. I managed to find an ice free route across the track to take Extra of the ascent to the top of the ridge path. Viewing large, there seems to be someone attempting the ascent in the snow. We followed a grass path then a track to Lothianburn. Not much ice on the track. The mud wasn't too bad, the base layer of mud was still frozen.
