Crocus kerndorffiorum x leichtlinii.   A hybrid of cultivation between two species rarely grown.   Hybrid vigour means this plant is probably more widely grown than either parent but even this is only grown by serious enthusiasts.   I have never tried it in the open garden and suspect it's small size and delicate nature would not combine well with winter weather here.

A busy day.   Good review of things with the GP on a phone consultation for Jamie who baked a big batch of buns this afternoon, now iced and delivered to the staff at the health centre.    I received a little package of interesting indoor plants from a fellow blipper in Scotland and began to sort through my hot water plant pots, recovering rhizomes for replanting.   There will be a large surplus to dispose of .... and some are soon off to Scotland!   More prep and a little painting in a couple of hours at work this afternoon.   A good day.
