Soggy squab

This poor pigeon looks as if it fell in the pond.  When I came across it sitting huddled on the fence this morning it was far too wet to fly anywhere so it just kept an close eye on me.  It's gone now - and the cats haven't ventured even a paw outside, so I hope it's safe.

It's been very wet, and there has been flooding all around Linton today.  We were forecast snow but sadly all we got was rain.
