Sanding the Beach

This tractor looked like a dog carrying an oversized stick as it chased up and down.  Actually it was preparing for the annual renewal of sand on the beach.  The fishermen don't approve.  Apparently a lot of the new sand drifts eastwards, ends up on the Christchurch Ledge, and ruins the fishing.
