Out of place

I’ve often walked past these two agave plants when out I’m walking near home. They are not in a garden, but on the edge of wasteland between the woods and the housing estate. My theory is that they were once part of the garden of a farmhouse which was knocked down when the housing estate was built on former farmland. There are a few apple trees nearby which also may have been part of the garden. In any case, they are very out of place.
