Pillbox

Wednesday lunchtime walk took me along a road to a neighbouring hamlet half an hour’s walk away. I was sticking to road walking but I must admit I had thought there was more pavement along this stretch. Luckily, there wasn’t all that much traffic. I’ve cycled this way loads of times but amazingly I’ve never noticed the pillbox before - guess I was focussed on missing the potholes! I also visited the graveyard of a small 12th century church that I’d never been to before, so it was quite the adventure today!

Some good news - my son’s Japanese girlfriend who is due to fly to to the UK tomorrow on a 2 year visa, got a negative result in her Covid test in Tokyo today so she can come - we’ve been on tenterhooks for quite a while. They’ll be living in London which is not the best place to be at the moment, but at least they’ll be together.
