I was excited to receive this in the post today. It’s a letter opener made just over a hundred years ago using a Turkish bullet ( there are Turkish markings on the base of the bullet). Clearly it’s a bit of a niche interest as I was the only one to bid on it but I am very happy to be able to add it to my modest collection of WW1 Mesopotamian ephemera.
