Bridge 51

Today we walked by the canal at Wootton Wawen. The sky was unusual with thin stripes of colour and this was reflected in the canal.
Our aim was to do the same route that we found yesterday and continue on further to explore a bit more. Before we went I looked the path up and discovered that once you cross over Bridge 51 you join Monarch’s Way. This is a 625 mile long path that apparently is approx. The escape route used by King Charles ll in 1651 when he was defeated in the Battle of Worcester.
So this is what we did. Last night it rained all night so therefore it was more muddy than yesterday. Also, as we continued along this pathway it developed into patches of deep mud and then almost seemed to turn into a stream! Also, at this stage I had realised that one of my wellies had started leaking. We decided to turn back and explore this path in the summer! Charlie was feeling particularly adventurous today and kept running ahead or off to the side. Anyway, the dogs had a great exploring adventure.
