Shades Of Thelwell

The horse sanctuary south of us is closed to visitors because of Covid. Today the staff organised a mini gymkhana, I presume to entertain/stimulate the animals and maybe to post on social media for fundraising purposes.

As Ollie dog and I approached the hedge a pair of goats was leaving the arena. Three tiny Shetland ponies trotted in and were so excited. We loved watching them galloping, kicking, bucking and jumping fences. Afterwards two large white ponies arrived and went absolutely mad. They ended up rolling on the ground with their legs in the air. All the staff, lots of women and girls and one man, were so happy. The atmosphere was infectious. There's going to be another next Tuesday. Ollie dog and I will definitely be watching.
