Dreams and Dumbbells

My neglected 8lb dumbbells, mocking me from a spread of vacation destinations I dream of visiting. I had very much hoped to get away to Italy for Spring Break, but for a variety of reasons, that's not going to happen now.

The only thing close to a tropical escape I can look forward to in the foreseeable future is my brother's Floridian wedding in July. Although we haven't actually booked the trip yet, I'm willing to go through hell and high water if that's what it takes to get there. I will NOT miss my brother's wedding.

Now if only I could muster the same determination to pick up these dumbbells a little more often and step up my running routine so that I can sculpt my way back into a beach-ready body. That's going to take a little less dreaming and a lot more doing.
