A Little Red Star

A little red star
Fingers and toes quite frozen
The snow has arrived!

The snow had been forecast, but I waited for it to come and for the gardens and trees to look beautiful! Then I took my little red Christmas star for a walk, put on my warmest coat with a hood and went out for a walk in my neighbourhood! The roads and paths were very slippery, so I didn't go far. 

I knew I wanted to take something red out with me to contrast with the snow. I made these stars this Christmas and I'm glad that I hadn't put them away!

Why does falling snow bring out the child in us? I wanted to run and play and sit on a sledge and go downhill!  I stayed outside for a good while, enjoying it all!

When I returned, I noticed how slowly the cars were going in my street and some of them were slipping and going sideways down the hill.  I remember the days when I had to drive to work in the snow and how that felt.
