Seeing Double
MrsB and I managed a lovely local canal walk in the crisp Winter sunshine this morning, first time out for a while.
This was taken at the bridge next to the famous Wigan Pier, and fascinated me with the double image - the lower one being our shadows, and the upper one being the reflection of our shadows from the canal - I think!
In the middle left, you can see the rotating wooden pole on the edge of the bridge support, which was intended to stop the ropes that the horses pulled the barges with from wearing on the stone edges!
This is a super little area for all sorts of images of industrial heritage!
