Darlington Arena has a new owner

After consistently failing to find a viable business model over a decade and driving the town's football club into administration three times and finally out of business, the impressive but implausible 27,500 seater Darlington Arena has been acquired by the brave hearts of the Darlington Mowden Park Rugby Union Club.

I'm hoping they have more business acumen than their footballing brethren; it would be sad to see the stadium swallow a second local sports club.
