You got to take the rough with the smooth!

Interesting effect on the canal this afternoon although it doesn’t really show up too well here. The wind was whipping up waves which were breaking on the still frozen stretches of water. 
Thankfully the towpath was completely ice free if somewhat muddy. The car temp gauge showed 9.5C today!
We also spotted a heron checking out the feeding on an ice free section. (See today’s extra)
