Waterwheel

This waterwheel was used to power the equipment that separated the gold from the rest of the rock back in the gold mining days. It was a pleasant, if soggy, walk to the wheel, and after sitting under the gazebo all morning, reading, it was just what we needed. I can't do sitting still indefinitely!

It's been raining solidly all day, but our camp is nice and dry. We picked up some wood from the bush and managed a little fire. MrB moved the car so that the awning was next to the fire. We enjoyed our dinner (nachos today) relatively dry and beside the fire. Very civilised.
