Search and Rescue
Nice bright day even if frosty in the morning. Hung around a short while at Dalcross - the airstrip for Inverness. This helicopter is the first of 4 which will cover the UK Search & Rescue operations. It's a Sikorksy S92 and is currently at Inverness for training purposes and then will be delivered to Sumburgh in the Shetlands. A couple of weeks ago I was surprised when a marine traffic site had it listed as being in Inverness harbour - but here it is just a few miles away. There's more about it on this website. Also leaving Dalcross was a Eurocopter EC135T+ of the Scottish Air Ambulance Service.
